FLYERZ

Flyer Hockey banner

Hockey prides itself as being a sport which can be played by everybody regardless of their situation or ability. The number of disabled people who take part in sport has grown significantly and England Hockey are committed to providing hockey playing opportunities with an emphasis on inclusion and participation. Flyerz Hockey has become a really positive term for disability hockey in England.

Herne Bay Hockey Club is delighted to give the opportunity for anyone with a physical or learning disability to play hockey via the Flyerz programme.

Herne Bay Hockey Club provided an open day which was available to all from 6yrs+ whatever their ability or disability plus siblings and friends last summer in June 2019.

This was great fun and highlighted the need for this sport, and the challenges to provide it.

We are working on making this safe and accessible for all - so watch this space .

If you are brand new to hockey, looking to make friends, be active or just wanting to have fun then  and learn to play hockey in a friendly and supportive environment, then please get in touch.
